FNBT Introduces New Project Management Office

Beloit, WI, August 25, 2022 – First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) is pleased to announce the creation of a new Project Management Office (PMO) for the bank.

A key objective for FNBT’s new Project Management Office to raise the profile of project management discipline and work with others throughout the bank to help define the 'best fit' project management approach for FNBT. The PMO team will serve as a shared resource department, helping project managers in the bank define repeatable processes, plan resources, identify quick wins, eliminate roadblocks, and communicate success. This this approach will help prioritize projects that generate revenue and improve both employee and customer experience.

Laura Pomerene will be leading the PMO as Senior Vice President (SVP), PMO Director. Reporting to Laura will be Geoff Roemerman, SVP Director of Customer Experience and Innovation and Kristen Jacobsen who has been promoted to Data and Project Analyst.

Since joining the bank in 2004, Laura Pomerene has led the bank's marketing focus and many bank-wide projects over the years. She has 24 years of experience in the banking industry, and has earned and maintained the credential of Certified Financial Marketing Professional (CFMP) for more than 15 years. In 2011, she completed the three-year Graduate School of Banking program at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, to add to her overall education; an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Computer Information Systems, a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration and a Master of Science (MS) in Business Analytics, Laura will build on her analytics background and leadership strengths in marketing to impact FNBT project performance and communicate success, while continuing to managing corporate reporting and data requirements.

Geoff Roemerman joined the bank a year ago and came to FNBT with 16 years of banking experience, including a Lean Six Sigma certification from Northern Illinois University. In his first year, Geoff has worked alongside various FNBT teams, and has led or assisted on several projects. His learning through collaboration and discovery will bring value to the PMO. Going forward, Geoff's experience in process improvement will be instrumental in building out project frameworks and quantifying cost savings for efficiency projects in the bank's portfolio.

For more than seven years, Kristen Jacobsen has lent her expertise to FNBT retail banking operations, and in the past few years developed into the leading subject matter expert for the core system workflow process. Kristen has utilized that experience as a natural transition for her promotion to the Data & Project Analyst role on the PMO team. Additionally, she has a bachelor's degree in business administration, and has earned a Six Sigma Green Belt certification, which focuses on achieving high quality outputs in production processes for greater efficiency. As Data & Project Analyst, Kristen will continue to partner with stakeholders in every area of the bank to analyze end-user needs and current processes to produce workflows, reports, data extracts and other solutions to improvement efficiency.
