Keith McCormick Earns CRC Designation

Beloit, WI, November 16, 2017 - First National Bank and Trust Company (FNBT) is pleased to announce that Keith McCormick, Commercial Banker in the Monroe, Wisconsin market, has recently earned the Credit Risk Certification (CRC) designation from the Risk Management Association (RMA), a professional association serving the financial services industry.

The CRC professional designation for credit and lending professionals demonstrates a commitment to the industry and a level of industry knowledge that has been recognized by an objective, outside organization. Historically, only 65% of banking professionals who take the exam pass.

To be eligible to sit for the rigorous exam, candidates need a minimum of three years banking experience with credit risk and be familiar with:

  • Evaluating a client's industry, markets, and competitors
  • Assessing a client's management ability
  • Completing accurate, ongoing, and timely client financial assessments
  • Assessing the strength and quality of client/sponsor cash flow
  • Evaluating collateral values, including collateral inspections
  • Identifying repayment sources, and structuring and documenting credit exposures
  • Dealing with problem loans and actions
