John Weitzel Announces Retirement

Beloit, WI, November 26, 2018 – John Weitzel, investment director of First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) has announced plans to retire effective December 31, 2018.

Photo of John WeitzelWeitzel joined the FNBT family in 2002 and was named director of First National Investment Services** in 2007. During his career at the bank, he has served the Beloit community by providing Sound Advice to clients of the bank and wealth management group.

For nearly 40 years, Weitzel has been contributing his time and talents in the Beloit area. Many know him from his 26 years with WBEL radio, and his involvement in many community and civic organizations has allowed him to have a tremendous impact on the community. His past volunteer work includes campaign chair of the Stateline United Givers Fund, president of the Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce, member of the chamber’s Ambassadors Club, member of the Turtle Township Planning and Zoning Committee as well as the board of review.

“I have been very fortunate to have worked with and for community-minded and family-oriented companies throughout my career,” said Weitzel. His immediate plan for retirement is to simply relax and enjoy time with his family.

An open house reception honoring John will be held on Friday, December 14 from 11am to 2pm at FNBT’s Beloit-Grand Avenue office located at 345 E Grand Ave in Beloit, Wisconsin in the third floor community room. Community members, friends and colleagues are welcome to stop by to wish him well in his retirement.
