FNBT Raises Money for Caritas
Release date: 12/28/2018
Beloit, WI, December 28, 2018 – The holidays were made just a little brighter for Caritas Community Resource Center this holiday season. First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) recently raised $840 for the nonprofit organization as part of the annual Holidazzle event in downtown Beloit.
“For the past several years, we’ve hosted artists and craftspeople at our downtown branch during Holidazzle,” said Theresa Wendhausen, branding and communications manager for FNBT. “This year, we decided to shake it up a bit and feature a nonprofit partner as well.” For a suggested donation of $1, patrons visiting the bank during the event could enjoy a beverage and snacks as they shopped. Over $800 was raised with all proceeds donated to Caritas to support their mission of assisting area families in need of clothing, food and other necessities.
Max Dodson, executive director of Caritas, was on hand at FNBT’s Beloit–Grand Ave branch during the evening event to raise awareness of the need within our community and the services that Caritas provides. “I’m very grateful for the generosity of our community members,” said Dodson. “We are lucky to have great partners like First National Bank and Trust, and I thank them for their continued support and partnership.”
In addition to the Holidazzle event, FNBT sponsored the Holiday Movie Series presented by Schubert’s Luxury 10 Theatre. Classic holiday films were shown each Thursday during December free of charge with a suggested donation of $2 or two canned goods benefiting Caritas.
