FNBT Partners with HOPE
Release date: 5/22/2017
Beloit, Wisconsin – First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) and HOPE Fair Housing Center, Inc. (HOPE) announced a partnership to help expand lending and other consumer and business banking services in Rockford areas that may have previously been underserved by local financial institutions.
In connection with this partnership, FNBT is pleased to report that, among other initiatives, HOPE will provide training for bank staff and community partners, as well as interested residents, regarding financial literacy, fair lending, and fair housing issues. FNBT also will host bi-annual homebuyer seminars in Rockford communities that have been designated as low-to-moderate income areas.
According to Anne Houghtaling, Executive Director of HOPE, “in undertaking these activities, FNBT has demonstrated its genuine commitment to increasing the lending and housing opportunities for all Rockford area residents, and we look forward to working with FNBT in this shared endeavor.”
“FNBT is committed to making credit available to all qualified borrowers on fair and reasonable terms,” said Steve Eldred, President and Chief Executive Officer of FNBT. “By providing Sound Advice and educating consumers about money management, we hope to foster future relationships and help provide loans that best meet the needs of the individual.”
