Beloit, WI – Theresa Wendhausen, CFMP, Assistant Vice President and Branding and Communications Officer for First National Bank and Trust (FNBT), recently graduated from the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking in Philadelphia and received a Wharton Leadership Certificate as part of the requirements of the school.
“Stonier has given me an unparalleled education from the best in the financial services industry as well as the chance to exchange information and ideas with my peers,” said Wendhausen.
Stonier is ABA’s national graduate school of banking, an intensive three-year program for bank executives. Students are from the United States and international banks of all sizes, as well as state and federal regulatory agencies and other financial services organizations. This is the school’s 80th year, and it was held June 4 - 11, 2015 at the University of Pennsylvania.
“Theresa is a key member of FNBT and her training at Stonier will help us identify the challenges our community faces and create permanent solutions,” said Laura Pomerene, FNBT Marketing Director. “In today's world, leadership is what will create future success. What Theresa brings back from her time at Stonier will greatly influence the future success of FNBT as she continues to provide sound advice to our employees, customers and community members.”
Since its inception in 1935, more than 20,000 students have followed a curriculum of more than 45 courses and enjoyed networking opportunities with more than 600 fellow students. Between sessions, students keep up with trends by completing additional extension and online coursework. The program culminates with the Capstone Strategic Project, where students develop comprehensive business projects for their financial institutions.
As branding and communications officer for FNBT, Wendhausen is responsible for the bank’s internal and external communications including website content, intranet management, social media strategy and media relations. She also manages the bank’s corporate community relations and charitable giving initiatives to correspond with First National Bank and Trust’s brand of providing Sound Advice.
