FNBT Announces Promotions | Vogel, Sorenson, & Schut

Beloit, WI – First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) is pleased to announce the promotion of three individuals in the Wealth Management department as approved at a recent board meeting.

Tracy VogelTracy Vogel has been promoted to Vice President – Trust Operations Manager. Vogel joined FNBT in 1984 and now has more than 45 years of banking experience. In her role, she is responsible for trust account reconciliations, Individual Retirement Account (IRA) reporting, and asset movement for the bank’s Wealth Management team. Throughout the years, Vogel has completed several industry courses through American Institute of Banking (AIB). She lives in Cherry Valley, Illinois with her husband, Tim.

Fran SorensonFran Sorenson has been promoted to Assistant Vice President – Trust Officer. She is the account administrator for trust, agency, custody, and IRA accounts. She is responsible for tax preparation for the trust department accounts, and she is the IRA point person for the trust department. Sorenson joined FNBT in 2014 with 13 years of tax preparation experience. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Sorenson also earned the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in 1994 and completed the Cannon Financial Trust School in 2017. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA). Sorenson volunteers her time with Beloit Meals on Wheels (BMOW) where she serves as a board member. She also acts as treasurer of the Beloit Junior Golf Association. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, camping, and four-wheeling.

Jarod SchutJarod Schut has been promoted to Assistant Vice President – Trust and Investment Officer. Schut has more than ten years of banking and investment experience. He is responsible for overseeing and organizing administration of estates and trusts for clients of FNBT’s Wealth Management group. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, Schut received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a double major in finance and economics. He has earned the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) professional certification, the Certified Financial Planner™ certification, and has several investment designations including Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses. Schut enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing pickle ball.
