FNBT Announces Promotions | Miller, Sorenson & Stien

Beloit, WI First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) is pleased to announce the promotion of three individuals in the Cash Management, Commercial, and Wealth Management departments as approved at a recent board meeting.

Photo of Julie MillerJulie Miller has been promoted to vice president, cash management officer. She brings over 40 years of banking experience to First National Bank and Trust, with 20 years dedicated to cash management. As a cash management officer, Miller is responsible for analyzing commercial deposit relationships, sales and servicing of cash management services and working with commercial clients to find the right solutions for their business needs. She earned the Fundamentals of Banking Diploma from the American Institute of Banking (AIB) in 1986 and attended the Wisconsin Bankers Association’s (WBA) Bank Security Officer School in 1990. In 1999, she attended the Windy City Summit’s Essentials of Cash Management Training and graduated from the WBA’s Intro to Commercial Lending School in 2007. Involved in the community, Miller is a past board member of Green County Cheese Days and is currently chairing the Information Booth committee for the event. Miller is based at FNBT’s Monroe branch, located at 1625 10th Street in Monroe, Wisconsin.

Photo of Fran SorensonFran Sorenson, CPA, has been promoted to trust officer. In this role, Sorenson administers trust, agency, custody, and IRA accounts. She also has oversight of trust tax for the Wealth Management team, including tax systems, tax preparation and processes. She joined FNBT in 2014 with 13 years of tax preparation experience. Graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994, Sorenson also earned her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation that same year. She and has completed several industry courses including Cannon Financial Institute’s Trust School, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) professional organizations. Sorenson enjoys working closely with her clients to make them feel like family. She volunteers for Beloit Meals on Wheels (BMOW) and currently coordinates the schedule for the team of FNBT volunteers for BMOW. In her personal time, Sorenson enjoys camping, kayaking and cooking.

Photo of Sharon StienSharon Stien joined FNBT in 2006, and has been promoted to senior commercial sales administrator and officer. In this role, she is responsible for providing support to the commercial banking team and is responsible for the ongoing training of all commercial sales assistants (CSAs). Her banking expertise is well-rounded in the areas of deposit operations, loan operations, and customer service. As a result, she is able to assist business owners and management effectively and efficiently with any banking needs they may have. A life-long resident of the Stateline area, Stien currently volunteers with Beloit Meals on Wheels (BMOW) delivering meals to shut-ins, and has co-organized the Fishes and Loaves fishing events for special needs children in the area. She is also currently serving as president of her condo association.

Both Sorenson and Stien are based at FNBT’s Grand Avenue office in Beloit, Wisconsin.
