FNBT Announces Promotions | Baskin, Lee, Almanza & Nygren

Beloit, WI – First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) is pleased to announce the following changes within the Customer Support and Loan Operations teams.
 

Photo of Angie BaskinAngie Baskin is transitioning to Assistant Vice President Loan Operations Manager. Angie started at FNBT in December 2017 as the teller supervisor at the Beloit-Madison Road branch and moved to the customer support department as manager in August 2019. Now with more than 15 years of banking experience, she will oversee the Post Closing, Quality Control, and Loan Scanning teams. These teams are responsible for reviewing documents for accuracy and compliance, scanning, and document retention. As Loan Operations Manager, she will work closely with the loan production and servicing teams to provide Sound Advice to the bank’s frontline employees and customer family as they move through the loan process at FNBT. Angie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership from Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois. In 2011, she received a Banking and Finance diploma from the American Bankers Association (ABA), and has completed all ABA certificates offered through FNBT. In her free time, Angie is involved with the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin (HSSW) and serves as secretary on the board of directors. She has also volunteered with Junior Achievement since 2009. She lives in Janesville with her husband, Brent. 

Photo of Penny LeePenny Lee is being promoted to Customer Support Manager & Officer. In this role, she will work with all the business lines within the bank to assist customers, supervise, support and inspire collaboration among the customer support team, and explore new opportunities to accomplish various customer requests. Prior to joining the bank in 2019, Penny worked for 14 years as a senior team leader for Target. Since then, she has taken on roles within the customer support department with increasing responsibility. She has received several certificates from the American Bankers Association (ABA) including the Teller, Teller Supervisor, Team Leader, and Personal Banker certificates. Active in the community, Penny has supported many non-profits and donated time to the Harlem Community Center as a baseball coach. She also supported area schools as past treasurer and president of Windsor School’s parent-teacher association (PTA) and Harlem High School’s welding class for a project supporting Miss Carley’s Community Center in Rockford. Additionally, Penny and her husband own and operate Forest City Neighborhood Siding and Windows. Together they have two children, two grandchildren, and two dogs. Penny enjoys fishing and four-wheeling in her spare time.

Photo of Spring AlmanzaSpring Almanza is being promoted to Business Support Supervisor. She joined FNBT in 2016 as a part time teller at the Beloit-Cranston Road office. Since then, she moved to the bank’s Beloit-Grand Avenue office as a full time teller and within a year, she moved to the Deposit Services team as a Business Connection support representative. Spring was promoted to Business Support Team Lead in July 2020. Now as supervisor, she will manage the team that is responsible for providing exceptional support services to FNBT’s business clients. This group assists with system setup and ongoing maintenance for business online and cash management clients. In her new role, she will continue to expand the Business Support team’s knowledge and responsibilities, including collaborating with small business and cash management to deliver new client training, onsite client visits, and advanced troubleshooting of technical issues. Spring will also focus on deepening relationships with internal teams within the bank to provide a cohesive and streamlined experience for the customer family. She holds an associate’s degree from Rock Valley College and is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration and Finance at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. A resident of South Beloit, Illinois, Spring serves on the board of the Greater Beloit Area Crime Stoppers, and volunteers with Beloit Meals on Wheels and various events hosted by the Downtown Beloit Association. In her free time, Spring makes crafts, enjoys hiking, and spending time with her two dogs, Midnight and Sky.

Photo of Mallory NygrenMallory Nygren is being promoted to Customer Support Supervisor where she will provide extensive training on business support functions to the bank’s Customer Support team with the overall goal of increasing knowledge, creating depth, making a more flexible, cross-trained team to improve the overall customer experience. She joined the bank in June 2019 as a teller at FNBT’s Beloit-Inman Parkway office. A year later, Mallory joined the Customer Support department’s Business Connection team focusing on supporting FNBT’s business clients. She has taken several ABA courses earning the Branch Manager, Supervisor and Team Lead certificates. Prior to joining FNBT, Mallory was a manager of Rue 21’s retail store. She currently volunteers with Beloit Meals on Wheels, and has assisted her church food pantry and worked with Noah’s Ark animal shelter in the past. Mallory enjoys boating, camping and being a “fur mom” to her two dogs and two cats. She resides in Machesney Park, Illinois.
