FNBT Raises Money for United Way

Release date: 1/13/2022

Beloit, WI – The holidays were made just a little brighter for United Way Blackhawk Region this holiday season. First National Bank and Trust (FNBT) raised $520 for the nonprofit organization as part of the annual Holidazzle event in downtown Beloit.

FNBT presents check to United Way“For the past several years, we’ve hosted artists and craftspeople at our downtown branch during the Holidazzle event,” said Theresa Wendhausen, Branding and Communications Manager for FNBT. “This year, we selected United Way Blackhawk Region as our featured nonprofit partner as a way to showcase the services provided for our community family.”

For a donation of $1, patrons visiting the bank during the event could enjoy a beverage and snacks as they shopped for crafts and jewelry on display. The proceeds were donated to the United Way to support their mission of meeting the critical needs of our community and those who need it most.

Mary Fanning-Penny, United Way Blackhawk Region CEO, attended the Holidazzle event to raise awareness of the need within our community and the services that United Way provides. “United Way is grateful to our partners at First National Bank and Trust and the attendees of the Holidazzle event, for their generous support,” said Fanning-Penny. “The holiday season was made even more joyous as we were able to see neighbors come together, united in both celebration and commitment to community.”
