“We are so happy to have First National Bank and Trust as a partner and supporter of Goodwill,” stated Sam Schmitz, president of Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois.  “By hosting their annual free electronics donation drive, not only is First National Bank and Trust helping community members get rid of their unwanted electronics and keep them out of area landfills, they are helping to provide individuals with the opportunity to experience the power and dignity of work through Goodwill’s employment programs.”
FNBT also presented a check to Goodwill to help with the administration costs of running the drive.
Goodwill plans to recycle every electronic item that was collected.  Proceeds from the drives go to support Goodwill programs to help people gain employment in communities throughout northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
