First National Bank and Trust Announces Spring Story Contest Winners!

April 20, 2011 - Beloit, WI: First National Bank and Trust Company recently held a Spring Story contest inviting children to tell a story about how Arthur the Dragon, the First Saver's Club Mascot, could spend the money he saved over the winter. More than 50 kids across the Stateline participated in the contest, and two winners were chosen based on age and creativity and were given gift baskets of goodies, compliments of First National Bankand Trust.

Matthew Kiser of Rockton, IL was chosen the winner of the 8-13 age group. He wrote, "Arthur the Dragon would use some of the money for local charities and buy a swimming suit for the summer. Then he would save some for next year and maybe even get a job to help save more for college. Which I hope would make his parents proud."

Elizabeth Back, of Walworth, WI, was the winner of the 1-7 age group. She wrote, "Arthur wanted to help the Earth with the money that he saved. He bought flowers and a tree to plant to help the planet. He felt good about this. He was going to save again.
