Commitment to Our Communities

Ever since we started our business back in 1882, First National Bank and Trust has been involved in giving back to the communities we serve. As we see it, being involved is more than doing something nice for our neighbors. It’s our responsibility to help our community grow by supporting the economic well-being and quality of life for everybody.

Over the years we’ve partnered with a variety of educational, civic and charitable organizations. We’re proud to work alongside neighborhood residents, businesses and government officials to initiate projects and programs to improve the communities we serve.

Here are just a few of the ways we’re supporting people in our communities:

Staying Healthy
Several times each year we partner with Beloit Memorial Hospital to host health fairs at our branch locations.  The hospital provides free blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetic screenings.

Teaching Financial Literacy
We continue to improve financial literacy among children and adults through Wisconsin Bankers Association (WBA) Personal Economics Program (PEP).   Started in 1989, PEP involves hundreds of bankers who volunteer their time to give consumer education presentations in their communities.

For the past several years, we’ve given more than 40 presentations annually, reaching over 1600 students and adults.   We’ve earned recognition from the WBA each year for the past 7 years for our outstanding financial education efforts.

Supporting United Way
We are proud to employ dedicated people with unique talents and skills who are devoted to their communities.  Our employees contribute to the annual United Way campaign accounting for nearly a 15% increase in support over the past 5 years and helping us continue our trend as a ‘Pacesetter’ company in the Stateline.
