First National Bank and Trust Company - Madison Road Branch Mother's Day Contest 

Beloit, Wisconsin, May 2008 - The Madison Road branch of First National Bank held a Mother's Day contest inviting children age 12 and under to write a few sentences explaining why their mom is the best.  More than 40 kids entered the contest.  A grand prize winner was chosen and 10 runner ups.  Evan Spencer of Beloit, Wisconsin received the grand prize backpack full of treats and prizes and his mom was given a beautiful bouquet of flowers.  Evan wrote, "My mom is the best because she loves me and tucks me in at bedtime. She listens to me when I'm feeling down and then I feel better. My mom takes special care of me when I'm sick or hurt. My mom ROCKS!"

The 10 second prize winners received their choice of a frisbee or a music download card. The second prize winners included: Mason Spencer, Hunter Davis, Bailey McKillips, Marissa Dawson, Donovan Yagla, Jason Nuber, Kaliyah Payne, Riley K., Noah Zanter and Kalea Laidig.  The entries paid tribute to mom in many ways:

    "My mom helps me stay healthy." Mason Spencer
    "My mom is my hero."  Kalea Laidig
    "My mom is very beautiful." Noah Zanter
    "My mom works, takes us to sports and helps with homework." Bailey McKillips
